RedCliff Ascent is a proud member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs.
The environment at RedCliff is particularly suited to determine whether or not a student is actually making some attempts to alter his coping style, or if he is continuing to require external entities to provide his identity and emotional needs for him. Our students find themselves in an immediate and continuous community-building process. Their role within this community changes as they progress with their individual treatment. How they cope with the difficulties encountered by their immediate community, and their personal contributions to this community are typically quite diagnostic of their self-appointed position in the large community of their family or society. As the RedCliff communities struggle to master actual problems, the individual student will demonstrate the extent of commitment he has to himself and to his community. This behavioral demonstration and rehearsal is invariably much more valuable than a mere verbal assurance by the student that they intend to change their behavior when they are offered the opportunity.
