Research Design

The instruments chosen to survey the outcomes are the Youth Outcome Questionnaire (YOQ) which is a parent reported instrument and the (YOQ-SR) which is a client reporting instrument. It has demonstrated validity and reliability and has shown high clinical sensitivity and specificity. The instruments measures a wide range of troublesome behaviors, situations, and moods which commonly apply to troubled teenagers including intrapersonal distress, psycho somatic, interpersonal relations, critical items, social problems and behavioral dysfunction The YOQ assesses each of the sub-scales, attaches a numeric value and then combines the numeric values for a summation of an overall baseline score.
