NATSAP RedCliff Ascent is a proud member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs.
Dear Redcliff,
Loved receiving your newsletter. It brings us to tears to remember that difficult decision to send our son to your program. There is no doubt that Redcliff saved our child’s life. It’s your wisdom and guidance that brings children to find their personal best. Our son is Snow Geiko, and is still hiking, making fires in the backyard, keeping “clean”, and enjoying life.

The highlight of our year was watching Hunter graduate HS from Singapore International School among 21 different nationalities. He was asked by the school to write and give a speech to the graduating class which we really enjoyed. We are very proud of him. He is now attending Hotel Management School in Singapore. We wish you a happy and healthy new year ahead. - Michael H.
Most of all I want to thank all at RCA who were part of my journey in the wilderness. After 10 years of clinical depression, struggle, grief, traumatic events and no hope for the future and just hiding it all behind a smile, I graduated a new changed happy Harrie. I now am loving every aspect of life. Just having fresh water and showers made my day for the first two weeks after leaving the wilderness!
Since being back I have been keeping busy recently completing an epic journey of personal growth and intensive skill development in some of the most extreme situations. Rafting kayaking first aid and rescue training. 90 days 18 rivers 3 countries Canada USA and Mexico. This week Im off ski instructing in Italy so its all go!
I now am looking forward to my future of working as a ski instructor and kayak/raft guide over the next few years, meeting people from all over the world and most of all having fun!
There are still many hurdles and struggles which I face but now I feel I have the strength to get through them and I see myself for who I am.
I miss you all especially those who I worked with the most Oxbow, Courageous Wolf, Ocean, Flacon, Firebear, Firefly echo, Red Wolf.
Take care guys and if anyone is heading skiing or kayaking I will be kicking around the slopes and rivers of Europe, USA and Canada over the next few years would be great to see you!
Harrie….a.k.a. Eastern Oriole!

RedCliff Ascent was the Wilderness Treatment Program that was featured in the first season of the Emmy Award winning program “Brat Camp”. Below are three journal entries from a reporter who spent three days in the backcountry living with students enrolled at RedCliff Ascent.
i just wanted to share how awsome rca really was for me in the long run.
When I first came out I struggled a little to adapt to home again but Kena helped me alot inside rca and out. I just wanted to say thank you for everything rca has done for me.
Congratulations to RedCliff graduate Trevor R. Trevor, who graduated from RedCliff in 2007, has been accepted to the University of Montana where he plans to major in psychology and wilderness studies.
Christopher, a 2003 graduate, is in his senior year at Bryant University, majoring in business.
It’s exciting to see our former students pursue their dreams. Please share your good news with us.
