RedCliff Ascent is a proud member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs.
As the students progress through each of the phases and associated values, they learn to work together to solve problems. Through this process, attitudes and behaviors balance out, allowing the youth to experience both the receiving and the giving end of challenging situations. Therapist and counselors seize the opportunity to explore issues that affect the youth on both an individual and group level. The students are urged to call group meetings to confront each other about appropriate issues and problems. Group gatherings around the campfire generate emotional moments. Youth face their peers as they recount events of the day, address personal feelings, and discuss the problems that have brought them to treatment. These powerful sessions with youth, staff, and therapist form bonding relationships, which help considerably in the treatment process.
